The course will be 75% singletrack and 25% dirt/gravel service roads, with an ass kicking amount of elevation. The 50k will take runners just shy of 7k of vert. The summit of Green Mountain will offer some epic views of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. The course will be well-marked again with surveyor’s ribbon and bright yellow signs at critical intersections.
Expect good food, friendly faces, and lots of shenanigans. This is a trail race organized by trail runners – and we take food seriously. Chips, quesadillas, guacamole, watermelon, and a whole assortment of candy/fruits and sugary goodness await you. Keep in mind that this is a cupless race, so don’t forget to bring a handheld or hydration bladder to fill up!
Camping at Green Mountain Horse Camp will be available this weekend, from Friday thru Sunday. The afterparty is worth it to stay up there post-race! There are vault toilets available, but no potable water or showers, so make sure to bring your own. Campsites are first come, first serve. Last year, we had plenty of sites available for tents. There are some pull-thru sites available as well.
