Our Mission is to increase women’s participation and opportunity in trail running and hiking through inspiration, education and empowerment.
TINAR Race Series is thrilled to host the Pike Lake Ultramarathon for a second year, featuring an updated course with a challenging 60km ultra and beginner-friendly 12km trail race. As always, we are proud to support women on the trails by inviting them to the starting line on race morning. At every race we have menstrual products at all aid stations, women-specific race shirts, and equal payouts and awards for both of our scoring categories (“male” and “female”).
Our race weekend starts on Friday night with a meet and greet, delicious vegan food, and a relaxed packet pick-up at Pike Lake State Park. Some runners choose to preview parts of the course as well. Car camping is available on site, just a 5 min walk from the start/finish line and has shower and restroom facilities.
Runners can also pick-up their bib and swag Saturday morning. Both distances start at 8:00am: the 12km (7.3 mi) race runs one loop of our rugged, hilly course and the 60km (37 mi) ultra runs 5 loops. Aid stations are available at the start/finish, and about halfway through at mile 3.5. Aid stations will have water and electrolyte drink, and a variety of plant-based snacks to choose from. Runners may leave a drop bag at the start/finish as well. 60km runners have 12 hours to finish the race and will be cheered on each lap by other runners and spectators. After the race, enjoy a complimentary vegan meal and drink from our caterer.
